Vince Resentes
Senior Cloud Architect
Mr Resente has enjoyed a 30 year career in the Telco Industry, Private/Public Cloud, Server, Computer Desktop / Mobile, LAN, WAN, Remote Access, IP VPN, Security, ISP industry. He started his career at SIEMENS to get into the Telecoms market and has enjoyed a full career in this field.
has a passion for new and emerging Converged Data Centers, Networks, Software Defined “Everything”, IoT, Wireless and the Mobile GSM / GPRS / UMTS and Hyper Converged Infrastructure Hyperscale Cloud world.
The major portion of his career he has been a Pre- and Technical Post-Sales engineer for the diverse market in South Africa.
He has been instrumental in designing Cloud, Remote Desktop/Mobile management strategies and Converged Infrastructure solutions for most of the major Commercial customers, IT Outsourcers and System Integrators in South Africa.
Vince is currently the Azure Advanced Networking SME and is engaging with all Enterprise customers and Partner organisations that support the Azure Advanced Networking offerings.

Warren Hero
Chief Information Officer
Warren Hero is the chief information and digital officer at Webber Wetzel, a position he has held since 2018. Prior to taking on this role, he was the chief technology officer at Microsoft. He has also previously served as the chief information and operations officer at Eduloan and as the head of electronic governance for the Gauteng Provincial Government. Over the course of his career, he has been nominated by the Institute of Information Technology Professionals South Africa (IITPSA) as a finalist in the President’s awards as a Visionary CIO, acknowledged as the Enterprise CxO at AFRICACOM 2019, and served as the digital transformation advisor to His Excellency the President of Botswana. He has also chaired the SAP SA CRM User Group of the German multinational software corporation.

Palesa Gaasenwe
Chief Information Officer
Palesa Gaasenwe, has over 10 years of experience in the ICT industry, spanning public and private sectors. She established herself as an IT business leader and a well-rounded digitization professional focusing on converting traditional businesses to digital businesses. Holds a master’s degree in Information systems. Part of the Golden key society UCT and Vice president of education at Toastmasters international.

Stuart Wilson
Group IT Manager
Stuart has over the last 19 years, has an impressive range of extensive and diverse technical experience, working in numerous industries from manufacturing, retail (FMCG) and IT services.
Stuart currently holds the position of "Group IT Executive" at Cerba Lancet Africa, the leading network of clinical pathology and medical diagnosis in Africa. Currently, the Cerba Lancet Africa's IT Network spans approximately 180 African sites and is growing.
He is passionate about IT and his career has focused on ERP Systems, IT infrastructure, IT transformation and adoption of technology in business, and IT shared services. “IT should be invisible

Jon Howes
SSR - SASE & AI
Jon has 20+ years experience in networking sales roles in the vendor community, including senior roles across Juniper Networks, Oracle and Acme Packet. In 2019, Jon was recognized by CRN as a "Channel Chief". Jon, originally from the UK, is now resident in Switzerland with his wife and 2 children.

Daniel Schapiro
Sales Director Africa
With more than 25 years experience in Telecoms, and 15 of them in Satellite Communications in Sub-Saharan Africa, Daniel is in charge of SES activities in selected countries in the region. He was responsible for implementing multiple gigabit Satcom capacity projects in the continent, including the first NGSO HTS project in Africa (and second in the world), with O3B Networks.

Wesley Van Rayne
Principal Engineer
Wesley is a seasoned ICT professional with 16 years experience across a range of disciplines including SDN, cloud networking, Microsoft Active Directory and network security technologies. He has worked in the gaming and agriculture industries and as an MPLS core engineer in the ISP sector. Wesley currently heads up pre-sales and solution architecture for Redvine Networks.

Marisa Trisolino
Chief Executive Officer
Marisa served in a variety of roles including Sales, Supply Chain, Strategic Planning and being the General Manager for the largest AT&T retail account. She started at AT&T in Rome as an intern, her career progressed and after 10 years of living in Italy, she moved to Belgium with her Dutch husband and son. Marisa’s role functions ranged from establishing the European Wholesale Prepaid card division, to leading the Wholesale Sales team in EMEA, providing data and voice solutions for in-country carriers, followed by Area Vice President for the Global Connection & Supply Management business division across Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) & Southern Asia.

Craig Lowe
Chief Information Officer
Craig has been involved in top-level management of African & Middle Eastern telecom companies for the past 20 years, consistently delivering business results by creating and energizing teams internally whilst building strong stakeholder relationships externally.
In 2017 Craig joined CMC Networks as Chief Operations Officer, post their acquisition by the Carlyle Group, to align structure and oversee growth, and is now Chief Commercial Officer.
Before joining CMC, Craig was Founder and CEO of execMobile, leading multiple funding rounds to establish and grow execMobile’s disruptive mobile data roaming business providing global connectivity for travellers, enterprises and things (IoT).
Previously as COO at BT Global services, Craig was part of the initial team in 2003 that led regional organic growth from a few people in SA to over 300 people across MEA by 2010. Craig was responsible for developing and executing BT’s MEA business strategy and transforming the port and pipe landscape into a services business.
Craig completed his Bachelors and Honours in Electronic Engineering at the University of KZN in 1989 and 1990 respectively, then obtained his MBA from the Wits Business School in 2002. He then continued with electives at the Owen Graduate School of Management, Vanderbilt University, USA in 2003.

Nico Walters
Head of Innovation and Information
I have been in the ICT industry for 15+ years serving in multiple roles at CMC Networks where I am currently the Head of Innovation and Information. In this role, I oversee development and implementation of all CMC’s Software Defined products/services, Cloud solutions and inter-provider integration. Additionally, I am also responsible for CMC’s global peering & interconnect strategy. I am also an active contributor within MEF where I currently co-edit MEF W118 - Zero-Trust Framework - as well as contributes in various working groups developing specifications for SD-WAN, Application Security for SD-WAN, SASE, and LSO Sonata

Gerrit Venter
Head of Product
Gerrit Venter joined CMC Networks late 2020 and has been in the ICT industry for over 20 years.
Gerrit has extensive experience across various roles at different technology companies ranging from technology distribution and professional services, to consulting as well as telecommunications both locally (South Africa) and globally. Gerrit is based in Johannesburg at CMC Networks’ head office, heading up the product portfolio within the IPS (Innovation, Products and Solutions) division.
